What happens if I already have a domain name?

If you have already registered your business domain name we will need to transfer ownership of that name to our servers. To do this we would need to ask your current registrant to change the IPS TAG to ours, so that we can initiate the transfer. Some registrants charge a domain release fee of around £30.00. This is not a cost from ST21 Internet Solutions, it is an admin cost that some registrants charge to release the ownership of a domain name. Once this has been done we can then control the domain and set a website up for that domain.

Do I have to renew my domain name?

Once we have registered your domain name we offer a complete management service for that domain. One month before your domain name is due to expire we will contact your company to check as to whether you would like us to renew the domain. Once we have received confirmation of this we will renew the domain on your behalf.

Do I have to renew my website hosting?

When a new customer purchases a web solution from ST21 Internet Solutions, the initial cost includes one years website hosting. Their is an annual hosting cost thereafter, which is currently £110.00 per year. This cost is subject to change and is currently correct at the time of publishing. The hosting cost works out to approximately £2.10 per week to keep your website live. We will contact you one month before your hosting plan expires to discuss your renewal needs.

What are email services?

When we register your domain name we also provide email management services. What this means is you will receive an email that matches the domain name we have registered on your behalf. As an example, if we register the domain name www.abc-tiling.co.uk we can create you an email address of info@abc-tiling.co.uk. Many business's have a website but still use a personal email, such as hotmail or btinternet for correspondence. Having an email address that matches your domain name is not only more professional it also ensures to your customers that they are contacting the correct company.

Can I upgrade my solution?

For some industries we offer two alternative solutions, namely the small and premier business solutions. If you initially purchased the Small Business Solution but would like to upgrade, you can do so at any time. Just contact us by either phone or email and let us know the domain name that is to be upgraded.

Why do I need to send a confirmation email or fax?

ST21 Internet Solutions acts for your company and can register the domain name of your choice on your behalf. After agreeing a suitable domain name we send you an email stating the domain name to be registered and the business solution we have proposed. We ask that you to reply to this correspondence as it confirms between both parties that the domain name investigated is correct and the solution is the one that meets your needs. Once we have received your confirmation for services we guarantee delivery of your website within 24 - 48hrs.
